About Me
I'm currently working as a Data Engineer with a background in Geophysics and Business Intelligence. I am married to an amazing wife and we now have two beautiful (and very young) children. Composing has been a long-time hobby of mine, and I feel like my growth recently has been enormous!
I generally go with the flow when I write my music, and I'm very big-picture and output-focused. As such, the genre I output is a little tough to pigeonhole. My start in digital music really came about as writing soundtracks - first for a job in a quantum physics research group, writing background music/doing sound design for a few quantum physics animations, and then for a space-shooter game called Freespace 2 (FS2 for short). Since then, I have continued to grow my collection of sounds, and have released many personal, standalone projects; they are primarily inspired by video games, space and sci-fi.
One of the things that appeals to me most about composing for media is the idea of shared storytelling. It is immensely satisfying to come together with a group of people and work together to a final product; everyone injects their own creative energy, and the result is something that is richer than any one person could do on their own. In the case of video games, I also really enjoy the dynamic nature of the music; it allows me to blend some of my coding experience and algorithmic way of thinking with my compositions.
